The summer after a tumultuous 2020 year proved to be our first collective exercise in reconnecting with our communities and societies. After being coaxed out of isolation on the premise that it was safe to do so, one thing we didn't factor in was feeling safe around others. Especially in community institutions like the pool. This concept explores a way to celebrate the advent of summer even when met with a strong desire to remain socially distant.

Create a quirky, self-aware swimwear concept across vdio and stills for brands looking to market their product after 18 months of wearing personal protective equipment and social distancing.

This concept centers heavily on individualism, a solo pool for one, bathing suits unique to the wearer, and empty, isolated settings where no one else can be seen.
Each installment in this series is set to music reminiscent of classic American summers and camp and treated to look like they were captured on Super 8 film.

Four vignettes, all featuring unique swim pieces and environments brought together by a common quintessential summer sheen and a traveling solo pool and ladder. These were initially featured on Instagram stories and lived on Tik Tok for the duration of the summer.
